The Results Are In

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

First things first, we want to emphasize how impressed we were with all the work that went into these videos. No one understands more than us how hard and frustrating it can be to capture, edit, export, and send off video projects, probably last minute. Secondly, it was a tight race. We put up the online poll to see what the public had to say, and the public spoke loudly. There was some speculation of some vote manipulation going on, so we took those with a grain of salt. picture-1
In the end, we have to give the win to Kirk Eddlemon and Gorged Out Productions. His submission was well edited, had fresh footage that is rarely seen, and documented their trip and the work that went into it well. These guys got out there and killed it, ’nuff said. Congrats Kirk, all your exploration and legwork paid off. Kirk’s video will open LVM 30, and the other videos will be in the Bonus Features. Huge thanks to all of the contributors, keep at it. This was an exciting contest and there’ll be more to follow. Stay tuned.

Werner Paddles ‘Wet Kayak Contest’

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

We ended up with six outstanding entries in the first ever ‘Werner Paddles Wet Kayak Contest’. This contest is unique in that all the participants were forced to edit to the same track! The judges here in the LVM office and out at Werner are in a three way tie, and have decided we need your help with the final decision. We have a voting poll at the bottom of the page so if you are a contestant rally your friends and family for their votes. We will announce the winner Thursday at noon.

This first entry is from the Alabama Kayak Club. Sam England heads up the effort and shows us how they do it in Alabama.
