CO Update: Castle Creek and South Fork Crystal
Heres some shots of our recent explorations around the state of Colorado. Castle Creek runs into the Roaring Fork in Aspen and is a nice little low-volume V- run. Lots of wood.

A few days later, we decided to go on an adventure over Schofield Pass and do a little park and huck on the South Fork of the Crystal. The upper reaches of that drainage are a beautiful area. We wanted to get down to the Devil’s Punchbowls, but our truck wouldn’t make it down the knarly road and it was getting too late to hike it. We’ll have to go up from the other direction, so look out for that update, I hope. Here’s some shots of the drop above the Punchbowls.

Well, until next time we find something to do in Colorado…
