Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Here is our final interview covering the 14th Annual Green Race, some two weeks late, with Adriene Levknecht. Apologies for taking so long we were slammed getting LVM #32 “Glory Seeking $#@! Runner” shipping, and our holiday specials on the store. DETAILS HERE.
Adriene was the female champ in the 2009 Green River Race and in the process of getting first place she shattered records on the course. The first female to go under five minutes (4:59) in the 14 year history of the Green Race, this little lady is a pleasure to watch both on and off the river! Enjoy.
I am sending you a great example of the elusive synchronized golden stroke that I just unearthed while reviewing my photos from West/Upper Cherry Creek. This photo comes from a trip down the West Cherry Creek, followed by the bottom gorges of UCC at high flow. The rapid pictured here is one of the best in the second-to-last “gorge” on UCC, which leads directly into a great banked drop just after this entrance boof. Executing this nicely timed double golden stroke are Barry Boher and Chris Morrison. I am glad to have captured this synchronicity on film and hope it makes the cut.
Here’s a shot from frequent GS contributor Arlyn. Looks like we have Zach ‘Cover Boy’ Dean at the Dog on the Chattooga once again. Nice shot Arlyn, nice stroke Zach.
This is absolutely disgusting. Do not watch this if you have recently eaten or get easily grossed out. This is nothing but nasty blood, puss, and a stomach curdling experience. We’re warning you now, you should probably go to www.disney.com or something, anything, other than watch this…
Last Tuesday, Amy Snyder put together a Premiere in Blacksburg and Kirk Eddlemon hosted one in Knoxville. They were a great success. We’ve been getting a lot of good feedback on this issue, which is being replicated as we speak. In this issue is a Canadian Summer Update with the Romaine and Stikine rivers, Squirt Boating on the Ocoee, Shasta Boys ‘Wet Dreams’ Trailer, Sierra Updates, Northwest Livin’, and a ton of bonus features. Here’s some pics from the Blacksburg Premiere. Let us know if you’re interested in hosting one! LVM 32 is available HERE.
Dang, Mr. Dean made it into the Golden Stroke again, second day in a row. Anyways, it’s a worthy one. This photo was also shot by Challen Averill. Ground Control to Major Tom…
We like to save our best content for our subscriber DVDs, but wanted to share this piece with everyone. Right now in Canada there are literally hundreds of dams being built from the East to West Coast of the country. Other than to raise awareness we have no idea how to stop/slow it down. If you ever wanted to kayak in Canada best make your move.
