The lightning is being ridden, the first descents are dropping, and the rivers are flowing. We have been on the road sleeping in the dirt the past few weeks, so forgive the aloofness here on the LVM webpage. Pat Keller is filming in Colorado for his latest release “The Water Droplet” and showed us a little sneak peak of what him and Isaac Livingston are doing in The San Juan mountains of Colorado. A sweet first descent on The Florida. At the same time John Grace is deep in the nowheres of California working on a project entitled “Sleeping In The Dirt”. Recently the team completed a first descent on the ever elusive North Fork of The North Fork of the American. Here is some eye candy and we hope to see everyone at CKS Festival when we premiere a lot of this incredible footage.

The Tame The Tyger Race has been going on for 11 years now and has grown to a full blown festival. Here Jenna explains a little about the festival and the float/race itself. Thanks for having LVM down for a premiere and see you next year.

The Watauga Race was a huge success with special thanks going out to Eric Chance for organization, Kieth Sprinkle for his work at the finish line and AW for securing us a road and parking lot. It was a scrappy affair with over 40 racers battling it out under the put-in bridge at the mass start. After about 35 minutes Chris Gragtsmans narrowly edged out Cooper Lambla for the top position. At the takeout parking lot I tried to get everyone’s positions but the frosty beverages had already taken hold. Below is the best list (forgive the misspellings) I could come up with and we’ll see everyone out next year!

Last fall I was invited by Teva to be a judge for a grant called LIFE AGENTS. In a nutshell it is a $10,000 GRANT designed to help people follow their dreams. It is an incredible opportunity and I would love to see a paddler win. Anyway while filming for the website I was asked several questions ranging from my proudest accomplishments, fondest travel memories, scariest experience on the river, etc etc. Well the one Teva chose to put on the website was my scariest swim. You can check it out below.
