Hey LVM!
I am sending you a great example of the elusive synchronized golden stroke that I just unearthed while reviewing my photos from West/Upper Cherry Creek. This photo comes from a trip down the West Cherry Creek, followed by the bottom gorges of UCC at high flow. The rapid pictured here is one of the best in the second-to-last “gorge” on UCC, which leads directly into a great banked drop just after this entrance boof. Executing this nicely timed double golden stroke are Barry Boher and Chris Morrison. I am glad to have captured this synchronicity on film and hope it makes the cut.
Cheers,
Alex Clayden

Here’s a shot from frequent GS contributor Arlyn. Looks like we have Zach ‘Cover Boy’ Dean at the Dog on the Chattooga once again. Nice shot Arlyn, nice stroke Zach.

I think Prijon wishes they had a catalogue and a pro team so they could put Zach “BenchBurnin’” Dean on the cover! Photo by Challen Averill

As most everybody knows the Green Race is upon us. Its the time of year to bust out your long boat, dust off those smack talking skills, and get out there and post your time. Here are some shots to inspire/ remind/ intimidate/ etc. ya’ll now that we have almost reached the one week countdown. Look for me at the lip of Gorilla to capture you during the race. See ya’ll out there!

Toby McDermott doin what he does. Apparently he's done this a few times...

Chad Pickens gettin it done at Sunshine
The black and white is kinda cool, isn’t it?
Peace
Rob

This is from Arlyn, Golden Stroke Spotter extraordinaire…
“… I’m sure we have all seen some Golden Strokes in our time but I want to focus on what happens when you don’t have a Golden Stroke this week. The First is Mr. Kentucky himself Mark Miller getting Golden at El Horendo. Then Alek Vey without the Golden Stroke eating rocks below El Horendo.
All photos by myself
Cheers
Arlyn”

We just got this from Arlyn Agababian. This guy takes some killer shots. Keep sending us your golden strokes!
Hey guys,
Not sure if it gets better then this. With the race right around the corner and Duke Energy talking about big lake draw downs i think every Green boater is starting to get in the fall frenzy. Tis the season when living out of a van is really starting to pay off. I blew off some school on Friday and knocked out triples on the Green packed the van and we where in Elkhorn City by 1 am. The Russell Fork was a blast! favorite rapid was triple drop blasting through second drop then running third drop direct is a high you can’t buy on the streets. Anyway sending two shots from the weekend. The first picture i’m sure you all know i think i even saw Mr. LVM himself Will Lyons giving a Woop Woop going off the drop Sunday. But anyway Will Stubblefield and his huge lefty at the lip caught my eye as i was setting up for another shot. The second is of all the boys at maze running tight, paddlers are Scott Magley(Blue paranha) Johnathon Absher, Nick Pabst, and Dennis not sure of last name.
Cheers,
Arlyn

Here’s a good line from the recent Romaine trip. This picture is of the Tall One Trip Kinney boofing into camp on day 4 of the Romaine. Be sure to check out LVM 32 for more from that, as well as an a$$ kicking good time on the Stikine River.
