Well there aren’t many new boats at OR this year. There is one major overhaul which deserves notice though, the Wavesport Diesel. This boat has undergone an extensive redesign with peaked decks, more continuous rocker, and apparently some patriotic color schemes. Plus, the Diesel is now available in 60, 70, and 80 gallon sizes. Brian Kirk says its faster than its predecessor and stays on top of the water better. I swear he said it, you can listen for yourself below:
Watershed Drybags are the best on the planet. There’s not a whole lot to be improved upon, and LVM has relied on them for centuries to keep our expensive camera equipment dry and comfortable. For 2010, Watershed has revamped their padded liner and added some new features. The best part, these additions are only around $20! That’s a value of 5 back issue LVM’s in the Ben Franklin Box Set!. Well, we didn’t get much out of this other than the news that Riot is Back for 2010. We’ll see if they come out with any smokin’ Ben Franklin type deals. Here’s a clip of John letting us know whats up:
Aside from that suave plaid drysuit, IR is still cranking out the Union Suit. For anyone who doesn’t have one, this may be one of the greatest pieces of layering apparel of all time (author’s opinion). Ben Franklin wishes he could have come up with something this brilliant. Especially the part about the Women’s model having a drop seat. Let’s have a listen:
